MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC)
Duration: 4 days
As with all of OMT training courses, the knowledge gained in the classroom will give you the understanding and proficiency in an engine bay, our Rolls Royce engine and other machinery is here to allow you to gain hands on skills.
The AEC is intended for seafarers who are required through manning requirements to hold an engineering qualification, it's ideal for those interested in Windfarm and work boat industries and aids placements onboard superyachts.
OMT's Southampton location is ideal within the marina at Saxon Wharf. We have great links internationally with daily flights to and from SIAL airport.
With groups of 4 or more we can be flexible on dates.

Prerequisites: Minimum age 18
This AEC course is the required qualification should you wish to become second engineer on a boat over 30 meters, or would prove invaluable if you are captaining a boat of a slightly smaller size.

- Code of Safe Working Practices
- Pollution legislation
- Bottled LPG installation
